Mantra is based on an ancient African formula that is over 900 years old. In ancient Western Africa, Ghedee (ji-dee) Priests would gather herbs, botanicals, extracts and essential oils and hand blend them into a rich cream or emulsion that had a dual purpose - both physical and spiritual application. In a process taking 109 days, they would hand blend this emollient using 81 ceremonies of peace, prosperity, longevity, protection, and general well-being. Priests would give this emollient to those who visited the Temple as a form of blessing each could apply to their body along with their own good intentions for general well-being. Over 900 years later, this rich spiritual tradition is carried on in the form of Mantra Body Products.

Mantra Body Products are created using a revised formula that includes herbs and extracts native to 5 continents. Though the formula has been updated, the process of making Mantra has remained the same to capture the original essence. As was done for generations, Mantra is meticulously hand-blended in small batches once a year, in a process taking more than 3 months.

The Emulsion is made from 100% all natural plant extracts and essential oils; and it has a rich botanical scent.
